Many people today have a Garmin or other type of GPS Navigation Service within their car. In my opinion this is one of the greatest inventions since the light bulb. If you're like the majority of the people I know, you wouldn't even be able to get around, if you didn't have one of these...

For the most part, these GPS Units were only meant to be used in cars and trucks, but now we are seeing GPS navigators for motorcycle enthusiasts. A very good one is the Garmin Zumo 660 4.3-Inch Portable GPS Motorcycle Navigator .

Jumping on and taking a ride on a motorcycle without any destination in mind, is what having a bike is all about. But still you need to get back home or find a restaurant or a friend's home. Many folks have been tied down to taking common routes and roads that they know so well, the motorcycle can do the driving... With a GPS device you can be more adventuresome and reclaim the freedom which comes with this kind of transportation. Up until now you either needed to know the place you were going, or take along a map that you would have to stop and take a look at all the time while cruising.

One of the main GPS manufacturers, Garmin, saw a hole in the market and decided to fill it with a GPS unit made for motorcycles. There's nothing like cruising down the open road on your motorcycle - the scenery rushing by and maybe a few bugs in your teeth. But you need to steering your ride in the right direction even before you start your motor... by making sure your motorcycle insurance policy is in good working order.

A motorcycle is an important investment. And you owe it to yourself to make sure your motorcycle insurance is current and you are properly covered before you ride your bike.

As you know, riding a motorcycle is different from driving a car. Your motorcycle insurance needs are different, too. That's why it is imperative to select a company that specializes in motorcycle insurance.

Do you need to update your motorcycle insurance policy? First, verify that all your coverages are still in force. Be aware that some companies have a winter layaway period during which some coverages are restricted.

Check with your insurance company to see if you currently have any type of limited coverage. Next, note any changes such as additional riders or a new garaging address. A quick call to your independent agent or insurance company will ensure coverage that reflects your current needs.

Consider additional liability coverage. If you have significant assets, both personal and a high value customized bike, it may be to your benefit to carry a higher limit, just in case you are involved in an accident that causes injury to someone else or damage to property.

If you do not already have medical payments coverage, check into adding it. Medical payments coverage pays your medical bills as well as your passenger's in the event of an accident. This coverage is available in limits up to $25,000 or more4 in most states.

Make sure custom parts and equipment are covered. Additional parts such as chrome plating, a custom paint job, saddlebags or special rims usually increase the value of your motorcycle and may not be covered. If you have added any custom parts or equipment, you will definitely want to check your policy or call your independent agent to make sure they are covered.

Know your options. Rates can vary from one company to another. Be sure to shop around to see, if another company offers you a better rate. Check to see, if you qualify for any discounts. If you have comprehensive and collision coverage, consider raising your deductibles. Doing so can help to lower the cost of your policy.

Choose a company that specializes in motorcycle insurance. Make sure your agent understands the special needs of motorcycle owners and offers specialized coverages that are designed for them and their bikes.

All of Joe Rocket's RKT-201 helmets are track tested. Riders such as AMA circuit racer Mat Mladin grinds the track while wearing the RKT-201. It also get blasted into the 200MPH realm by Rickey Gadson, and defies gravity at the IOM TT by riders like Mark Miller and Jimmy Moore, and put through intensive acrobatic feats by Kane Friesen.

If you are looking for a helmet that is recognizes as a world class helmet and also has the Credentials to back that up, then the RKT-201 should meet your requirement.

As far as safety regulations go, it definitely meets, not only ECE and DO,T but SNELL qualifications as well. Riding with any of the RKT-201 helmets from the 2011 Joe Rocket helmet line is an obvious street-wise choice.

New for 2011 from Joe Rocket helmets are the RKT-201 Prime Vector, RKT-201 Prime Rampage and RKT-201 Solids. These helmets from Joe Rocket are moderately priced at less than 200 dollar. Most 200 dollar range helmets are only DOT or ECE approved, but not SNELL certify, however, the new Prime Vector, Prime Rampage, and Prime solid not only meet DOT, but SNELL requirements, too, a feat that not every helmet can claim - especially one that cost less than 200 dollar.

The RKT-201 Prime Vector and Prime Rampage from Joe Rocket represents Joe Rocket's take no prisoners approach to the helmet market. From the aerodynamic SNELL approved advance composite shell to the advanced 2-stage RapidFire shield system, this RKT is prime to take on all competitors thrown in its path.

Using advanced 3D CAD technology, Joe Rocket helmets are designed to offer superior fit and comfort. Its channeling ventilation system utilizes full front to back air flow. This formation allows the helmet to flush out the heat that is collected in the helmet, and, at the same time, let cool air flow in to cool the rider. Additonally, the hard coated, optically superior, 3D shield design allows the shield to provide 95 percent U.V. protections against the sun's harmful rays, protecting the motorcyclist's eyes.

The features of RKT-201 prime Vector and Prime Rampage don't stop there. Optionally, there are multiple array of shields available including the RST mirrored, high definition, smoke, gradient pinlock ready, and race shield with tear off post.

What makes the new RKT truly amazing is that it is an all year round helmet, with a simple lens change, it can also be your snowmobile helmet during the winter. All this is possible with the optional dual lens, electric shield or breathe guard. This features is definitely a bonus, allowing you to save money by using your street helmet as your snowboarding helmet by a simply change.

Finally, for those that want all the safety and technological features, but do not like the glams that comes with it, Joe Rocket have a solution to that. The RKT-201 solid provides just that.
