    Hi, For someone like me just getting back in the street bike scene, I’ve been with dirt bikes for the past 6 yrs, this book is very down to earth and answers the questions that a newbie would have. He has a lot of experiences to share on what works and what doesnt. Yet leaves a lot open for the personal preferences of what would would work for each of us. He (Bill Stermer) gives advice and choice. I see a lot of BRC advice and insight, (BRC= Basic Rider Course for motorcyclists)good sound advice and safety issues. Watch, Look and Listen. Great guy to sit around a campfire with a few brews and listen to stuff he’s seen and done……… Thanks for reading my review. Rick J.

    I am still a beginner on riding, and I read this book cover to cover. Lots of good information written by someone that you can tell has been riding for years. I am a firm believer about learning from someone elses mistakes. This book takes you through the different models, and the stuff you learn only from riding for years. While no book can teach you things you really need to know from years of riding, this book will deninitely get you up to speed to make intellegent choices from purchasing a bike, helmet and rain gear, riding tips, and the stuff that will get you up to speed.

    Thanks for writing this book. Very well thought out. If you are serious about getting a bike and riding, this is the book for you!!!
